1. Who we are

SaudiLingo (saudilingo.com) is an online school for everyday Saudi Arabic. In this policy, "SaudiLingo", "we" and "us" mean the SaudiLingo team that runs this website and decides how your personal information is used.

2. What we collect

• Information you give us: your name, email address, billing country and order details when you buy; the times you choose and the notes you send when you book lessons; your email when you request the free guide; and anything you write to us.
• Payment information: card and wallet payments are handled by our payment providers at checkout. We do not see or store your full card number.
• Learning information: your course progress, quiz and test results and certificate details inside your SaudiLingo account; your lesson balance and booking history; and voice notes you exchange with your teacher.
• Information collected automatically: IP address, approximate location (country), device and browser type, pages viewed and how you arrived on the site, collected through cookies and similar tools.

3. How we use it

• To process your order, deliver your books and audio, and give you access to your course.
• To book, run, move and remind you about private lessons (including video-call links and calendar invitations).
• To send service emails: order confirmations, download links, booking confirmations and lesson reminders.
• To send learning tips and offers, only if you subscribed or bought from us, with an unsubscribe link in every email.
• To answer your questions, prevent fraud and misuse, and improve our website, courses and books.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on performing our contract with you, your consent (for marketing emails and non-essential cookies), our legitimate interest in running and improving SaudiLingo, and our legal obligations.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run SaudiLingo, and only as much as they need to do their job:

• E-commerce platform: our online store, checkout and customer accounts;
• Payment providers: to process your payment securely;
• Course and file delivery providers: to host our courses and deliver your downloads;
• Email service providers: to send order emails, newsletters and the free guide;
• Scheduling and video-call providers: to book and run private lessons and send reminders;
• Analytics and advertising partners: to understand how the site is used and to show relevant ads, only as allowed by your cookie choices;
• Professional advisers and public authorities: when the law requires it.

Some pages include videos or content from third-party platforms; those platforms handle your data under their own privacy policies.

5. International transfers

Our service providers may process your data in the United States and other countries. Where required, these transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the store and checkout, and optional cookies for analytics and advertising. Where required, you will see a banner that lets you accept or decline optional cookies, and you can change your choice at any time in your browser settings.

7. How long we keep it

We keep order and accounting records for as long as tax and accounting law requires (usually up to 7 years). Course access and lesson records stay for as long as your account is active. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Other data is deleted when it is no longer needed.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the EU, UK, Saudi Arabia and US states such as California), you may have the right to:

• access the personal information we hold about you;
• correct it or ask us to delete it;
• object to or restrict certain uses, and withdraw consent at any time;
• receive a copy of your data in a portable format;
• opt out of "sale" or "sharing" for targeted advertising (we do not sell your data).

To use any of these rights, email hello@saudilingo.com. We reply within 30 days and will not treat you differently for using them. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Security

We use secure, reputable platforms and limit access to your information to the people who need it. No method of sending data over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you if a breach affects you where the law requires it.

10. Children

SaudiLingo is meant for adults. Students under 18 should use our products and book lessons with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed, and important changes will be announced on the website or by email.
